Heart
to Heart
for Schools
The Heart
to Heart Campaign began as a school
project at Perry Middle School in the Worthington School System in 1998.
As a community service project, it has blossomed into other communities
and school districts, raising thousands of dollars annually.
-
How does
it work? Each school “sells” paper
heart placards for $1.00. The back of the
heart shows a picture and tells the story
of a Special Wish child. The front of the heart
shows the name of the person who made a contribution towards a wish.
-
Become
Involved in the Heart to
Heart Campaign! This is a wonderful
campaign designed to show students how they can help children with
life-threatening disorders. Students really take ownership of their
campaign, and have come up with some great ideas:
 |
Selling
hearts at basketball and football games |
 |
Make a chain of
hearts to meet a specific goal |
 |
Selling
hearts and carnations for Valentine’s Day |
 |
For each
heart sold, the contributors name will be put in a raffle for
prizes (anything from electronics to gift certificates) |
 |
Staff vs. Student basketball game |
A Special
Wish Foundation will work with your school group or class to help
make your Heart to
Heart campaign a success. A Heart
to Heart information kit with samples
of the fundraising materials can be obtained by contacting us at
614-258-3186, or by using our convenient online form, and letting us
know you would like to receive information on
Heart to Heart. Please include
